Stud Farm Assistant, Thoroughbred Stud - KZN

Suit male candidate with farming interest; stud experience preferable; knowledge of stud operating procedures required. Able to converse in Zulu, multi-task & work under pressure, flexible & committed in responsibilities, reliable with solid work ethic, able to follow instruction & work in a team.
Responsibilities / Requirements of role:

Outdoor farming role within a stud environment. Management of paddocks/pastures, hay-making, fencing, firebreaks etc. Supervision & maintenance of farm equipment/machinery - must be mechanically-minded, able to do minor repairs to tractors & machinery. Assist with stud duties where required, general knowledge of horse care, assist with coverings, able to work with stallions beneficial. Able to work unsupervised, willing to work in a team environment, supervising & dealing with staff, reporting to management.

Level of Experience, Qualification(s) Required / Training Offered: Working alongside stud manager, previous farming & stud experience preferable.
Details to Veterinary / Vet Nursing / Speciality requirements: Prepared to assist in emergencies.
Full/Part-Time; Hours of Work; Weekend/After Hours Required: Full time farming hours, available at all times for emergencies.
Drivers license required: Yes
Code required (e.g. towing): Towing license/experience an advantage
